So, I've been told recently that the past article I wrote was completely misinformed. So we have no new story today for the city, instead we will be sharing a short story. This is a story called "Two Disgusting Uncles Screaming to the Beat".
"Dirges Freeman had always loved warm Silverlake City with its crooked, crispy homes. It was a place where he felt delightfully pissed.
He was a selfish, ridiculous, orange juice drinker with scrawny legs and ginger hair. His friends saw him as a tart, tall traitor. Once, he had even saved an icy child that was stuck in a drain. That's the sort of man he was.
Dirges walked over to the window and reflected on his beautiful surroundings. The rain hammered like running dog. Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Trissa Freeman. Trissa was a tiresome stickler with lanky legs and long hair. Dirges gulped. He was not prepared for Trissa.
As Dirges stepped outside and Trissa came closer, he could see the magnificent glint in her eye.
"Look Dirges," growled Trissa, with an appalling glare that reminded dirges of a plague infested Rat. "I hate you and I want my cat back. Or else you owe me $7,280 Dollars."
Dirges looked back, even more upset and poured himself some orange juice. "Trissa, fuck you," he replied.
They looked at each other with sad feelings, like two broken, music speakers at a very gross birthday party, which had Metal music playing in the background and two disgusting uncles screaming to the beat.
Dirges regarded Trissa's lanky legs and long hair. "I don't have the funds ..." he lied.
Trissa glared. "Do you want me to shove that orange juice where the sun don't shine?" Dirges promptly remembered his selfish and ridiculous values. "Actually, I do have the funds," he admitted. He reached into his pockets pulling out a key. "Here, follow me. Ill give you what I owe you."
Dirges walked deeper into his house, leading Trissa behind him. As they walked he was happy he had decided to remove the pictures he pinned form the wall, as they likely wouldve make Trissa nervous. Eventually they reached a door. It was pure white and callused, much like the door to a large walk-in freezer. Dirges jingled his keys, sorting through to get to the one that unlocked this door. once found, he slowly inserted the key into the lock and pulled the door open with a grunt.
He stepped inside and motioned for Trissa to follow him again. She looked hesitant for a moment but then followed his lead. He waled to the back of the cold storage unit and uncovered a crate. "Your money is in here." He said as he offered her the key to open it. Trissa grabbed the keys greedily and knelt in front of the box, she sorted through the keys finding the two that, when inserted into the keyhole popped the locks. She threw the crate open, expecting to see green cash awaiting her, however; she was enstead greeted by cold, familar flesh.
She stood, breathing heavily and turned to find the door, the exit, the one way she could leave only to find that it was no longer there. The door had been clased behind her, sealing her off from the light of the outdoors. She began to notice the coold now, sinking into her skin and giving her goosebumps. She would pace for hours, trying to keep herself warm until she would begin to feel too tired to walk and place her chilled flesh near the familiar.
Dirges finally felt happy, his wallet blushing like a resonant, robust tangarine. He went back to the window and looked outside. it was sunny now. He smiled and finished his drink of Orange Juice.
